Millenniata Selling M-Disc in EMEA

Sales and marketing led by Kev Jefcoate, at Verbatim for eight years

Millenniata, Inc. is launching its M-Disc technologies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has selected Kev Jefcoate to lead its sales and marketing efforts throughout the EMEA region.

Millenniata,Jefcoate “We know we have a winning solution with our M-Disc permanent storage/archival technologies, and we are quite interested in leveraging the success we’re enjoying in North America to penetrate Europe, Africa and the Middle East,” said Paul Brockbank, CEO, Millenniata. “That’s why we are very pleased to announce that Kev Jefcoate will lead our sales and marketing programs across the entire EMEA region“.

Few people can match the breadth or depth of storage sales/marketing experience that Kev has, especially in EMEA. For example, during his eight years at Verbatim, he helped the company secure the number one market share position for optical products throughout the EMEA region. Additionally, Kev led the optical recording disc program for HP in Europe and Asia for five years, successfully launching HP’s CD-R and DVD-R discs, and building sales through licensees, channel partners and marketing programs. Given his wide-ranging industry experience, we welcome Kev Jefcoate to the Millenniata team.

Perhaps more than any other company on the planet, Millenniata realises that we are producing more and more digital data each and every day,” Jefcoate said. “As a result, the need for long-term, archival-grade storage is exploding, not just in the corporate world, but in our personal lives too. For example, I am sure everyone has a cherished item – a photograph, video clip, or music track – that they would like to preserve for a really long time, perhaps for your grandchildren or your grandchildren’s grandchildren. With M-Disc archival-grade storage solutions, this is not only possible, but easily achieved.

Millenniata’s writable M-Discs utilize a layer of patent-protected rock-like, inorganic materials that mean archival-grade M-Disc DVDs and Blu-ray Discs are virtually impervious to environmental exposure – unlike typical writable Blu-ray or DVD discs. Using these rock-like materials means that it is nearly impossible to degrade the data stored on an M-Disc BD-R or DVD disc.

In fact, M-Disc technology has been proven through ISO/IEC 10995/16963 standard longevity tests and is an storage solution to withstand testing by the U.S. Department of Defense. Based upon Millenniata’s laboratory tests, M-Discs have an expected usable lifetime of up to 1,000 years.

I’ve been extremely blessed to work with some amazing people, products and companies during my career,” Jefcoate said. “A big part of what makes this opportunity with Millenniata so exciting for me is the fact that I have a deep understanding of the storage challenges and opportunities faced by enterprises and consumers everywhere. And Millenniata’s M-Disc products and technologies are the absolute best at delivering archival grade storage capabilities. Additionally, Millenniata’s executive and technical people are topnotch, with a spot-on vision of how to deliver storage media for today and tomorrow. That’s why I’m honored to be able to join the Millenniata team.
