LightEdge Solutions Partnering With Vision Solutions

LightEdge Solutions, Inc., an enterprise grade cloud, colocation and MSP, announced its partnership with Vision Solutions, Inc., a provider of HA, DR and migration software and services.

The partnership centers around Vision’s MIMIX real-time replication tool and LightEdge’s Power Cloud solution, both designed for IBM Power and IBM i OS systems, providing a backup and DR solution to the iSeries world.

By creating near real-time replication of an organization’s data with MIMIX software, customers can perform backups to LightEdge’s Power Cloud solution to offsite, secure LightEdge data centers. This solution allows for companies to resume business nearly instantly in case a disaster occurs.

In order for an enterprise operating on IBM i to create a similar reactive process, it would need to purchase and co-locate an additional IBM Power Server. The Vision Solutions MIMIX and LightEdge Power Cloud solution eliminates the cost of acquiring a second AS400 assigned solely to DR.
