This is a natural alliance for both businesses. EMC is the industry purpose built backup appliances and Iron Mountain is an industry offsite data vaulting – services customers usually buy together. Iron Mountain is also one of the only providers to offer Data Domain replication to the cloud with ‘tape out’ capabilities and a service to help customers migrate from tape management.
