FalconStor Joins iCITA Vendor Alliance

To expand distribution throughout Australia and New Zealand

FalconStor Software Inc., in software-defined storage solutions, has joined the International Cloud Integrators & Telecommunications Alliance (iCITA) ecosystem to provide FreeStor to organizations throughout the Australia/New Zealand area.

iCITA provides members with products from vendors to provide scalable, flexible solutions to their customers in the categories of hosting, IaaS, HaaS, SaaS, virtualization, and software/hardware products. iCITA’s partnership with FalconStor offers organizations and their customers the ability to maximize the investment in storage hardware, allowing them to take advantage of changing vendors and markets while using a storage platform through FreeStor.

Resellers and distributors today need to be able to provide a comprehensive suite of product choices that are readily accessible and can be tailored to their clients’ individual needs,” said Damien Stephens, CEO, iCITA. “We are pleased to offer FalconStor solutions as part of our vendor alliances ecosystem. We feel that FreeStor is ideally suited to helping our members better understand their storage requirements and how they can fully utilize storage space within their data center and enterprise environments.

FreeStor allows IT managers, MSPs, and CSPs to maximize efficiencies and lower costs while taking advantage of the cloud, hybrid cloud, flash storage and software-defined storage. Its intelligent abstraction approach delivers access and unified data services across storage infrastructures without having to invest in new technology, or rip and replace existing platforms. Always-on availability and continuity keep businesses running while enabling them to move, synchronize and protect data across virtual and physical storage platforms.

iCITA not only empowers managed service providers, integrators, and other channel resellers to help their customers with cutting-edge cloud and infrastructure solutions but is keenly aware of how the local marketplace operates and is able to ensure that FreeStor is positioned for maximum success,” said David Bull, FalconStor technical sales director. “Many organizations find themselves locked into a particular storage infrastructure, whether due to licensing obligations or economic necessity, but still need newer functionality that their traditional systems simply can’t provide. iCITA will be able to help us educate organizations as to the benefit of adding FreeStor’s software approach and Intelligent Abstraction to unlock features and benefits that will help them compete both locally and in a global economy.

Australian resellers and service providers who are interested in offering FreeStor can procure locally through iCITA.
