Datto Chooses Verne Global’s Icelandic Campus

Verne Global Ltd, a UK-based developer at the forefront of data center infrastructure design, announced that Datto, Inc., a provider of backup, recovery and BC solutions has chosen Verne Global’s Icelandic campus as its second European data center location.

With plans for increased expansion within Europe in 2016 and beyond, Datto will be able to use Verne Global’s Icelandic data center to offer European partners a second level of protection for their data.

Datto has data centers in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia, with another in Germany expected to open in 1Q16. The expansion into Iceland will allow the company to offer its European partners the additional capacity for growth while still satisfying European storage and privacy requirements. By choosing Verne Global, Datto will be able to take advantage of 100% renewable, long-term, low-cost power.
