DataGravity Opens Partner Network

Amid launch of data-aware storage platform tracking data access and analyzing data

DataGravity, Inc. announced its DataGravity Partner Network, a multi-tiered program for strategic technology resellers that are committed to helping midmarket customers unlock the value of their growing data resources.

Announced recently, the DataGravity Discovery Series will be sold exclusively through a network of partners, allowing them to expand into a range of verticals. By automating discrete functionality into a unified storage platform, the Discovery Series allows IT and business users to store, track, protect and search unstructured data to get greater visibility and insight into their data.

With experience building channel programs that grow business for partners and create value for customers, the DataGravity team has a history of commitment to helping resellers break into new markets and elevate their value as strategic, innovative advisors. Its Partner Network will arm resellers with a technology that is poised to redefine the storage market. Partners will get benefits including opportunity protection paired with comprehensive program support; qualified leads; sales, marketing and technical support; training and accreditation; and the chance to answer business challenges for their customers with the first data-aware storage solution.

Our customers are hungry for a solution that can surface actionable insights in their stored data so that everyone in the company – not just IT – can get the business benefits of getting this level of data visibility,” said Joe Paquet, VP of vendor relationships and alliances, Axis Business Solutions, Inc.DataGravity is redefining what storage can do at an opportune time for our market, and we’re excited to get the DataGravity Discovery Series into the hands of our customers.

The Discovery Series is a patent-pending storage platform that analyzes data as it is stored, enabling users to expose actionable insights and surface issues in order to streamline data management, reduce business risks and increase user productivity. Designed for HA with no single point of failure, the Discovery Series’ capabilities extend beyond traditional storage by allowing users to track activities, protect and restore files including those within VMs, search and discover relevant information, and identify content authors, subject experts and potential collaborators.

DataGravity not only recently launched its first product to help companies benefit from the rapidly growing stores of data created by their knowledge workers, but also a go-to-market strategy that is 100-percent channel focused with outstanding incentives and program support for the partner community,” said David Siles, DataGravity VP of channels and alliances. “As resellers sign on to participate in our network, we’ll work together to redefine the storage industry and streamline data management, reduce business risk and increase user productivity for midmarket companies.”

Russell Ford, president, Qumulus Solutions, said: “DataGravity is addressing one of the most significant growth areas in storage today: the problem of deriving meaning from unstructured content. This technology changes the economics around storage from cost per terabyte or IO/s to a real value proposition focused on business insights, and it’s going to get us in front of business stakeholders at knowledge-driven companies in multiple industries.”

The Discovery Series will be available to ship in October.

VMworld attendees saw it in action at the DataGravity booth, August 24 through 28 in San Francisco, CA.
