CloudBerry Managed Backup Now ConnectWise Certified

Creating online backup solution for MSPs, VARs and systems integrators

CloudBerry Lab, Inc., a vendor of backup and management solutions for public cloud storage services, announced that CloudBerry Managed Backup is a ConnectWise certified product.

CloudBerry Lab provides cloud-based backup and file management services to SMBs. The integration of CloudBerry Managed Backup with the ConnectWise Business Management Platform creates an online backup solution for MSPs, VARs and systems integrators.

Managed Backup is designed to meet the stringent standards MSPs and IT resellers have for backup and DR solutions, enabling customers to conduct bare metal/system state restores, as well as restorations of individual files and applications, including SQL Server and Exchange. It also allows organizations to select from a number of cloud service providers, including Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or any S3-compatible storage. Managed Backup can be re-branded and customized, allowing providers to create their own branded solution offerings.

The ConnectWise platform integrates business-process automation, help desk, customer service, sales, marketing, project management, and business analytics to streamline an organization’s operations. Many of its users, including MSPs and other IT professional services organizations, rely on it to provide their customers with a centralized, cost-effective, flexible solution to build, support, and manage their IT solution offerings.

Benefits of the integration include:

  • Import contacts from ConnectWise: MSPs and VARs can import all or specific contacts from ConnectWise to Managed Backup allowing the service provider to specify a storage limit and backup destination for every user before adding them to the system. Each user receives a ‘welcome’ email with access credentials and download link for the product.
  • Support tickets integration: MSPs and VARs can configure Managed Backup to create a support ticket in the ConnectWise system. If any backup or restore plan fails, the support ticket will contain all the details about the failed plan. Once the same backup or restore plan succeeds, the ticket can be closed, if desired.
  • Billing reports: Managed Backup sends each company’s billing report to the ConnectWise service on the first day of each month, giving customers a single unified bill.
