Avnet Technology Solutions Reselling IBM VersaStack

Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc., will begin offering Cisco and IBM’s new VersaStack solution in Latin America.

VersaStack combines the innovation of Cisco UCS Integrated Infrastructure – which is composed of the Cisco Unified Computing System, ‘ACI-Ready’ Cisco Nexus and Cisco MDS switches, and UCS Director – with the efficiency of the IBM Storwize storage system.

Partners will be able to utilize this integrated system to accelerate cloud, big data and analytics, and mobility deployments.

The VersaStack solution will benefit Latin America channel partners
in several key ways, including:

  • Channel Focus: Channel partners will be the primary route to market for the VersaStack solution. The solution will provide partners with an integrated system that will enable them to maximize the synergies between the IBM and Cisco channels, while allowing customers to streamline the deployment and operation of their data center infrastructure and the applications that reside on that platform. The Avnet team will help partners take advantage of this opportunity based on its experience in accelerating the success of Cisco in the data center market and its nearly-30-year distribution relationship with IBM.
  • Reference Designs: VersaStack will be backed by Cisco Validated Design (CVD) reference architectures. Partners can use these reference architectures to design and deliver solutions specifically tailored to their customers’ business needs faster and with less risk. As partners are developing their expertise in these areas, they can also rely on Avnet’s experienced sales and technical team to assist them throughout the sales cycle.
