Load DynamiX Storage Validation Solutions Adopted by Tolly Enterprises

Load DynamiX, Inc., in storage infrastructure performance validation, and Tolly Enterprises, LLC, provider of IT product testing and validation services, announced they have completed two performance validation reports, for IBM Corporation and Sophos Ltd., that showcase the performance advantages of their respective products.

Using LoadDynamiX storage performance validation appliances, Tolly tested the VM migration and aggregate network performance of the IBM FlexSystem network architecture and the VMware server and VDI client application performance of the Sophos Antivirus for vShield v1.0.

IBM commissioned the Tolly Enterprises to benchmark the network capacity and VM migration performance of its IBM Flex System. Testing was conducted in an IBM Flex Server chassis running a VMware virtualized environment and compared that solution with a similar configuration using Cisco Systems Unified Computing System (UCS).

Sophos commissioned Tolly Enterprises to evaluate its Antivirus for vShield v1.0 solution and compare its performance to two other vShield offerings: McAfee MOVE Agentless 3.0 and Trend Micro Deep Security 9. Tests encompassed a range of VMware ESXi 5.5 and Microsoft Server 2008 virtual server applications including web, database and CIFS file services. A VDI environment with 120 Windows 7 enterprise VMs on was also evaluated.
