New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. received snowfall totals of one to three feet over the weekend. Strong wind gusts between 30 and 50mph and heavy snow caused near-zero visibility, creating the need for travel restrictions and bans. At least 33 people have died as a result of the blizzard and hundreds of thousands are without power. The storm also produced coastal flooding, and icy floodwaters infiltrated roads across eastern New Jersey.

Coordinating efforts with its broad network of computer service providers in and around the area, DriveSavers is offering $300 off data recovery services through February 29, 2016 for single HDDs, RAID systems and smartphones damaged by impact, water or power surges resulting from the storm.

As residents along the East Coast begin to assess damage caused by the blizzard, DriveSavers would like to offer assistance by helping those affected recover lost data from damaged computer storage and mobile devices,” said DriveSavers president Scott Moyer. “Whether personal or corporate, we have over 30 years of experience in securely retrieving photos, financial records, videos, tax documents, contact lists and other critical information stored on HDDs that have been damaged or destroyed due to treacherous weather conditions.

If your HDD does not spin or makes any unusual sounds such as clicking or scraping, power the device down immediately and send it to a professional data recovery service.
