27 Storage Acquisitions for First Six Months of 2016

The trend in M&As in the storage industry continues at about the same pace since several years.

They were 27 for the first six months of 2016, compared to 22 for same period in 2015, 30 in 2014 and 32 in 2013.

This year there was a lot of acquisitions in backup with 12 deals.

The highest amount was $1 billion paid by Cavium to get QLogic. J2 Global alone acquired a record of 8 companies in online backup.
