Glyph Announcing Studio Mini Rugged Portable Drive

Glyph Production Technologies announced Studio mini, the first in a series of Studio family products.

As the successor to the PortaGig50, it is based on a 2.5-inch 7200rpm HDD (SSD version soon), features a metal enclosure, USB 3.0 speeds up to 420MB/s, heat transfer technology, SMART disk monitoring, bus-power via FireWire or USB, and a warranty.

Available in capacities of 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB. SSD models will be released in February and include capacities of 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB.

With the heat transfer technology, it can withstand the requirements of demanding workflows, all while maintaining safe temperatures and providing near-silent operation.
