1:5 HDD Copy Dock Drive Duplicator by Aleratec

Aleratec Inc. introduces the 1:5 HDD Copy Dock Advanced.

This stand-alone duplicator supports 2.5″ and 3.5″ SATA HDDs/SSDs and can produce up to five HDD drive clones simultaneously without the need of a computer. It includes sanitization functions and serves as a HDD docking station to access up to five HDD drives at a time using eSATA or USB 3.0 technology.

“Our new 1:5 HDD Copy Dock Advanced Duplicator is perfect for professionals who want the power of a full-sized, tower duplicator and sanitizer in a much smaller, more convenient form factor,” says Perry Solomon, president and CEO, Aleratec. “It’s easily transportable and in addition to making fast clones, the new unit includes many of the sanitization functions found in Aleratec tower-type devices.“

The duplicator creates sector-by-sector copies that include boot sector and partition information for precise clones of the source HDD. This model includes sanitization functions that remove all traces of information from up to five HDD at a time using 1-Pass, 3-Pass or certified 7-Pass Overwrite functions, as well as single-drive Secure Erase which is an NIST 800-88 recommended standard for clearing HDDs.

This duplicator and sanitizer can be connected to a computer with the included eSATA or USB 3.0 cable, allowing the unit to function as a high speed HDD docking station for accessing information on the HDDs. Instant-connect HDD bays offer quick connection and removal with individual power buttons so users can choose which drives to copy or access. All duplication and sanitization functions are accessed via the front-panel buttons and LCD display to monitor the progress of each job.

The 1:5 HDD Copy Dock Duplicator is compatible with CF memory, CFast memory and mSATA SSDs with optional adapters (part numbers 350119, 350120, and 350118, not included).

It is available from company’s resellers and distribution partners with an estimated retail price of $899.
