NewPoint Media Group Streamlines Datacenter Ops With Nimboxx Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Nimboxx, Inc., in Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions, announced that NewPoint Media Group, LLC, an international real-estate marketing firm, deployed Nimboxx to increase performance and reduce costs across its IT infrastructure.

Combining storage, networking and orchestration into a single device, the Nimboxx hyperconverged platform offers an efficient and affordable way to bring the benefits of the hyper-scale datacenter model to NewPoint.

NewPoint attracts millions of unique visitors to its website each month which features large volumes of high-quality real-estate listing data and images. To support this infrastructure, the company relied on a largely VMware-centric datacenter that required expensive licensing, hardware and maintenance costs and could not keep up with the capacity, performance and scaling needs to deliver NewPoint’s large content-rich files at sufficient speeds.

After deploying Nimboxx, NewPoint saw improved performance, more efficient datacenter operations and lower costs. In addition, because of Nimboxx’s speed and processing power, it was able to free up an HP blade server that was running VMware and use that system for a different project.
