NetMass Granted Texas Department of Information Resources Archiving Services Contract

To offer technology solutions to Texas state government institutions

NetMass Inc., a Texas-based data management company, was granted a highly sought-after spot on the Texas Department of Information Resources list (DIR-TSO-3015).

Texas Department of Information Resources

The Texas DIR aims to offer high quality and affordable technology solutions to TX state government institutions by partnering with companies such as NetMass. NetMass joins 20 other storage brands that are available in the DIR, but it believes that they offer something that none of the other brands do – best practices archive specific WORM storage that never runs out of space and maintains a FIPS 140-2 encryption certification.

NetMass president and CTO Stephen Perkins said: “We are excited to offer solutions to Texas agencies and local municipalities that participate with the Texas DIR. Many areas in the public sector maintain high value data. From police departments that need to store sensitive video to utilities that need to store invoices and scanned data, our archiving systems go beyond using your backup as an archive. Our solutions facilitate automatic offloading of high value data from your primary storage to highly durable and self-healing WORM storage.

With this new contract, NetMass will focus on providing turn-key best practices data archiving solutions as well as solutions to CJIS compliance needs. Agencies are finding it more and more difficult to safely keep documents that are vital to business operations and NetMass has the solution. With services designed around the needs of municipalities, IT, and the customers they serve, our customers can store data without fear that it will be lost, corrupted, or destroyed.
