Dutch Uniserver Internet Deployed PernixData FVP Software

Getting 11X more IO/s with 1/5 latency in cloud storage offering

PernixData, Inc., in server-side storage intelligence, announced that Uniserver Internet BV, a cloud partner for Dutch IT specialists that provides an array of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings that partners use to deliver value added services throughout the Netherlands, has deployed PernixData FVP software.

The company added performance storage as their newest service, which provides a cost-effective, flexible and secure storage infrastructure with HA. Thanks to the implementation of PernixData FVP software, Uniserver’s storage offering has a very unique differentiation – it is the first cloud storage solution that guarantees low latency and high IO/s.

We have the ambition to not only be the biggest cloud provider in the Netherlands, but to also deliver SLAs and performance guarantees unparalleled in the industry,” said Hugo van Diepen, co-foundsales director, Uniserver. “The FVP software has enabled us to think in a whole new way on how we can provide storage as a service. By placing storage intelligence in our systems, FVP lowers storage latency from milliseconds to microseconds, while the number of IO/s can be scaled with compute resources in a cost effective way. We are providing this flexibility and performance benefits to our customers, with the guaranteed service that is only offered by Uniserver.

With FVP software in place, the company modified its storage offering to include various tiers, the top of which guarantees 11x more IO/s and 1/5 the latency than alternative cloud storage offerings.

Every day there are thousands of VMs running within our four data centers, which are used for everything from databases and virtual workspaces to websites and email,” says Van Diepen. “It is very difficult to predict that traffic. But FVP ensures that our customers always receive consistent and reliable performance storage.
