Vembu With Online Backup for Enterprise

Vembu Technologies Inc. announced  its online backup service, Vembu OnlineBackup.

This backup service is designed for businesses from ground up and helps protect both physical and virtual environments. Data from these environments are backed up to the company’s cloud, which is based on Amazon Web Services. Multiple recovery options are provided and one of which includes the option to restore the data on cloud to a USB portable HDD and shipped to customers.

Application backups are supported for MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS Share Point, Active Directory and MySQL. It performs a snapshot of these applications and purges transaction logs before data can be backed up to the cloud. For application backups, granular restores are supported which includes mailbox or mail level recovery for Exchange servers.

VMware and Hyper-V servers can be backed up at the host level to cloud. VM administrators have the option to pick and choose the VMs they need to backup and transfer it to Vembu Cloud. In the event of disaster, the VM can be restored on the cloud or VM restore can be loaded on to an USB drive and shipped to the primary site.

Pricing for OnlineBackup service is:

• For desktop backup it’s $1/month and server backup at $2/month.
• Cloud storage pricing are at $0.10/GB/month.
