UK-Based Fantastic Cloud Services Approved on Government G-Cloud Platform

Framework making selection process of cloud providers easier

Fantastic Cloud Services (Fantastic Media UK Ltd), a specialist in DR solutions, has been formally accepted on to the government’s G-Cloud 7 procurement platform.

The overall aim of G-Cloud is to create cost savings across the public sector by executing technological solutions that increase productivity and efficiency for government and public sector departments. The G-Cloud framework makes the selection process of cloud providers easier by choosing only the most trusted, professional and expert companies to deliver better, cost-effective services.

For Fantastic Cloud Services (FCS), the application process and subsequent approval is an endorsement from the highest level of their skills, expertise and ability to deliver industry cloud solutions.

This latest success comes on the back of the Leeds-based company winning its first public sector client, Wealden District Council, in October.

FCS, who also provide their services to private sector businesses, believe there are many areas that can be improved in the public sector and have put forward their Hybrid Cloud Backup service to the G-Cloud, as technical director, Oliver Kelly, explains: “The Hybrid Cloud is an increasingly attractive option to the public sector as it gives them a mixture between high speed restores, and the security of knowing that their data is also stored in a separate location. This gives an added bonus without compromising on performance or service. Restoring data quickly is a must have for an organisation in the public sector, where efficiency and value for money is increasingly important. On top of quick restores, the resiliency provided by storing data in a separate location provides an extra safeguard for our customers.

On the advent of G-Cloud’s 7th edition, which began in 2012, Kelly commented: “The application process was difficult for us, being such a new company, but we’re glad we made the effort to produce a solid application. We know that the G-Cloud is an excellent way for up and coming suppliers like us to get our business out there, and so we’re delighted to have been accepted.

FCS have been accepted on to the Software as a Service (SaaS) section of G-Cloud 7, which opened on Monday 23rd November, 2015.
