Storage Guardian Announcing Sync and Share Integration With DS-Client

Storage Guardian Inc. announced a new feature to its hybrid backup and recovery solution.

It has added the QBU Cloudspace file sync and share application to its suite of software services, and integrated the product into its existing DS-Client backup and recovery software. This integration is expected to provide additional revenue streams to the company’s network of partners and customers by offering the benefits of two complementary products in one solution from one vendor.

“The file sync and share market has grown exponentially recently, but there is still a misconception in the marketplace about how it stacks up against traditional online backup,” says Dave Minns, Storage Guardian.

Sync and share – or cloud collaboration, as it is otherwise referred to – is designed to give multiple users the ability to have secure access and prescribed interaction with predetermined files from anywhere with connectivity and on most devices.

“By integrating a full-featured, enterprise-grade file sync and share solution as a dedicated backup set in the DS-Client, we are providing businesses of all sizes the ability to collaborate on and share files with remote agents, users and customers, but with the added layer of traditional backup security to ensure the files are protected and available in case of a data disaster,” addded Minns

Another feature of the QBU software is its ability to backup Android smartphones and tablets, and iPad and iPhone devices.

This solution also addresses the need for businesses to enhance their BYOD strategy and help protect corporate data that sits unprotected on personal tablets and smartphones, which are typically outside standard corporate safeguards.

The company believes this will help fortify its strategy to service the growing niche of integrated backup and sync and share requirements in the global SMBs marketplace.

Storage Guardian is HIPAA compliant and SSAE-16 (formerly SAS70) certified, which assures compliance with industry standards set forth by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
