Jungle Disk: Data Threat Protection Solution

Rackspace US, Inc‘s spin-off Jungle Disk LLC announced Data Threat Protection service for ‘main street,’ combining robust network security with encrypted backup and file sharing.

Designed for organizations with 2-250 people, the solution is simple and affordable, offering enterprise-grade protection from ransomware, malware, viruses, bots, denial-of-service attacks and other sophisticated cyber-attacks now frequently targeting SMBs.

While all businesses and consumers are vulnerable to ransomware and other digital attacks, SMBs face greater risks because of their limited resources and technical expertise. Data Threat Protection service was designed for these businesses, offering the multi-layered protection that large enterprises rely on, without the costs and complexity associated with designing, building and operating on-premises systems. The firm has also released a free online Shield Test that analyzes – in 60s – a business’s risk versus seven data threats.

The company spun out of Rackspace in early 2016 and has raised $11 million in equity funding to date. The Data Threat Protection solution does not require equipment purchases or annual contracts and can be activated online in five minutes.
