Compuverde Enables Cold Cloud Storage With Hyperconverged vNAS Solution

The growth of IoT and the mass adoption of cloud services are driving the development of new storage architectures to store the massive quantities of data being generated.

Compuverde AB announced that its hyper-converged, web-scale vNAS solution enables cold storage for MSPs, ISPs, telcos and storage hardware manufacturers seeking to offer ‘cold cloud’ services at a higher performance than current offerings on the market.

Cold storage warehouses the huge amounts of data that an organization wants – or is required – to keep but doesn’t need to be accessed regularly. This frees up server space, allowing the rganization to run faster and avoid additional hardware expenditure.

Software-defined is not enough
Most open source solutions are not mature enough to be hosting in a production environment due to imperfect connections with the user interface or custom code written by the vendor.
