CloudBerry Lab Integrates With Autotask

To automate customer management for backup services for MSPs

CloudBerry Lab, Inc., a vendor of backup and management solutions for public cloud storage services, has integrated its cloud backup solution with Autotask Corp. and its cloud-based IT business management platform.

The combination, available, enables joint customers to automate customer management for backup services, including user lists, billing and support tickets.

The amount of data SMBs need to backup and protect is growing, and to protect against disaster, those backups should be stored offsite. However, most SMBs simply cannot afford to pay for the equipment, services and the personnel required for an expanded traditional backup system with an offsite component. As online backup has become more affordable, many SMBs are looking to the cloud as a solution.

MSPs are rushing in to fill the gap, but they must have an efficient approach to IT service management to expand their businesses and ensure profitability while continuing to serve their customers. The integration between CloudBerry and Autotask provides MSPs with a managed backup service that automates many key management functions.

With this integration, MSPs now have a complete, managed cloud backup solution that enables them to automate management of the service using Autotask’s cloud-based solution,” said Alexey Serkov, CTO, CloudBerry Lab. “Providers not only have the ability to fill a critical gap in their service offerings, but they can do so at a consistently high quality standard while keeping their operational costs competitive.

With CloudBerry, end-users can backup file shares and Windows server data to a cloud storage account, and a restore is a few clicks away. The backup client compresses data before it leaves the customer premises to minimize the amount of cloud storage capacity required. Plus, to ensure complete security, CloudBerry encrypts all data with customer-controlled keys. Neither CloudBerry nor the cloud storage provider ever has access to customer data.

Autotask enables IT Service Providers and MSPs to centralize data and operations, with a comprehensive, complete solution for every role,” said Len DiCostanzo, SVP community and business development, Autotask. “With this integration, CloudBerry can help service providers increase their top line by offering new backup services, while we help improve their bottom line by improving efficiency and operations.
