With low latency and highly available FC connectivity, the firm broadens the range of application workloads, such as machine data analytics, that can benefit from the company’s fully managed service.

Enterprises are struggling to manage data growth due to the influx of IoT data in today’s landscape. Machine data from operational, log and security intelligence applications present an opportunity for insight, but they also require immediate access to the data. The right connectivity for the right company is critical to help manage this information. FC is a preferred storage networking technology for enterprises of all sizes, and those same enterprises are experiencing IoT and machine data growth today. Delivering high-performance, low-latency access to machine data brings the benefits of the cloud to fast-growing data, which traditionally sits in on-premises storage arrays, creating management headaches and storage costs.

Earlier this year, the company extended its global storage network with points of presence (PoPs) in Washington, D.C. and New York City, NY. Delivering FC to customers across all firm’s PoPs will help the company respond to a growing enterprise demand to leverage the economics and flexibility of the cloud, overcome network latency, manage machine data growth and make all data accessible to its users. Using company’s global storage network for a range of analytic workloads, organizations can reduce the TCO of enterprise storage by up to 80% over three years.

Laz Vekiarides, CTO and co-founder, ClearSky Data, said: “Extending connectivity options with FC is a natural progression that allows us to support our customers as they pursue hybrid IT and cloud services, tackle machine data growth, and achieve high performance and low latency for their storage. As a result, we’re helping customers close the book on age-old storage management problems and gain access to all of their data, whenever and wherever they need it.
