Logicalis Group US announced Backup-as-a-Service (BuaaS) offering in its portfolio of managed services, which offers organizations the ability to backup and restore as much, or as little, data as necessary to a fast and secure, enterprise-grade cloud managed by the company.

With this BUaaS offering, the company will design, install and manage an on-premise Veeam Software AG backup solution as well as provide the cloud target for off-site storage.

The company’s Backup-as-a-Service offering integrates compression, de-duplication, encryption and WAN acceleration with scalable, reliable, fast and affordable cloud storage to deliver the type of performance enterprise customers are used to achieving in their on-site data centers. The service has been optimized for enterprise-grade workloads and can lower costs by up to 30% over disk – or tape-based systems. Data sets are compressed by 10 to 30 times, on average, to speed transmission and reduce storage costs.

In addition, BUaaS solution ensures that the whole system is managed and can quickly recover critical data on demand. A seamless connection between their data locations and company’s cloud services helps organizations backup and restore so they can securely retrieve any amount of data – anytime and from anywhere on the Web. The solution is designed to support VMWare and Hyper-V virtualized storage environments.
