Aqua Launches YoBox, Personal Storage Management System

On Kickstarter

Aqua Communications, Inc. launched the YoBox Kickstarter campaign.

Yobox-on-the-cloud

YoBox is a RFID-enabled personal storage management system that solves the problems associated with losing track of personal items after they have been stored away. Using their smartphones, people can locate items easily that were stored over six months ago in sixs.

Gone are the days of looking through endless storage boxes and not finding what you put away last week or last year. YoBox was launched on Kickstarter to save the hassle of trying to find lost items with the aid of an Android or iOS smartphone in minutes.

We encourage you to share your feedback with us,” said Robert Shen, GM, Aqua. “We are looking forward to having you onboard as a backer and supporter of our campaign to launch this very practical and much needed product.

RFID technology has become a very hot topic. It’s the technology that has been used by homeland security, as well as in California and Florida to monitor freeway tolls. Now, everyone can reap the benefits of RFID through the NFC function on smartphones. YoBox uses RFID technology to make people’s everyday lives easier and more organized.

How does YoBox work?

  • First, download the YoBox app.

  • Then, label your box with a YoBox label.

  • Scan your YoBox label with your smartphone and create a name for your box.

  • Take photos of belongings to be stored in the box and add in keywords or descriptions to help find items later.

  • Finally, pack your box.

The YoBox label uses RFID technology on labels that can be read using the NFC function already on your Android smartphones. Alternatively, the QR code can be scanned for non NFC-equipped smartphones such as iPhones.

If YoBox surpasses its expected Kickstarter goals, the company plans to offer features such as customized YoBox labels, cloud storage backup and a network share function.
