Veeam Opens Facility in Bucharest

New hub to bring more than 250 new job opportunities to the city

Veeam Software, Inc. is expanding its footprint with a new office in Bucharest.

Veeam Bucharest
This facility will deliver on the needs of Veeam’s growing customer and partner ecosystem across the world, establishing one of the biggest Veeam hubs in Europe creating more than 250 job opportunities. This facility complements existing hubs in Saint Petersburg, Columbus and Atlanta, while adding to a slew of recent openings across the globe – such as Beijing and Tokyo – which will support Veeam’s accelerated growth trajectory.

Enterprises are becoming software-driven businesses, so IT departments can no longer get away with services that are ‘OK’; always-on availability is paramount. By this, enterprises need to ensure that access to applications and data is available 24/7/365 and such availability is essential as businesses look to embrace digital transformation. Veeam delivers availability for the always-on enterprise to more than 193,000 companies across the globe. Over the past few years the firm has grown at an exponential rate, increasing its revenue year-on-year to reach almost $500 million in 2015. To fuel future growth, the company needs to scale and this means expanding Veeam`s operations to deliver availability to companies of all sizes.

Veeam’s new facility in Bucharest is further evidence of the company’s growing penetration in the Availability market. In the first quarter 2016, Veeam has added close to 11,000 new customers across the world and has continued to drive consistent growth across all markets,” said Ratmir Timashev, CEO, Veeam. “Veeam is the only company delivering on the needs of modern business, empowering Digital Transformation in all sectors, and with this new facility we will be able to evolve our capabilities even further and be closer to our customers.

The Bucharest office will become one of the key business centers that support Veeam’s activities. The company plans to increase its presence over the coming years to support continuous business growth and this hub is expected to reach more than 250 employees in the next three years, in sectors such as finances, marketing and sales, to support the company’s international operations.

Romania is one of our priorities in terms of investments in EMEA, mainly thanks to the high level of skilled professionals in the market,” added Timashev. “Over the next few years we plan to create more than 250 jobs, opening positions across all levels of the business.

The expansion of Veeam`s operations in Romania demonstrates that our country can attract inward investment and that local resources and competencies can be used at a global level,” said Veeam’s MD of Bucharest operations, Andrei Romanescu. “We are proud that we can offer young specialists the opportunity to apply their competencies in their own country.
