Spanning by EMC Moves Austin, TX HQs

Spanning cloud Apps LLC, an EMC company and a provider of SaaS data protection, will move into the redesigned 501 Congress building located in the heart of downtown Austin, TX in early fall.

The new space will increase Spanning’s square footage by more than 80%, thereby enabling Spanning to more-than double its headcount in order to help meet the increasing demand for Spanning’s cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery solutions, including SaaS data protection offerings for Google Apps, Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.

501 Congress-a complete re-imagination of an existing structure in the heart of Austin’s downtown-was designed by the Austin-based Michael Hsu Office of Architecture and Sixth River Architects. Notable highlights for the space include abundant natural light; open workspaces; access to a rooftop lounge; and easy access to downtown Austin and the State Capitol. The new space will carry forward Spanning’s collaborative and dog-friendly environment.
