Datto Expands Footprint in Canada

Datto, Inc announced the opening of a data center in Calgary to serve the increasing demand for data protection services from its Canadian managed service partners.

The Calgary site complements the Toronto data center, opened in 2013, to provide Canadian customers with the same level of data protection afforded by more than 50,000 businesses. The Canadian expansion comes on the back of Datto’s entry into Southeast Asia with the opening of its Singapore data center.

As one of the only data protection providers to deploy multiple sites in Canada, Datto’s bi-coastal data centers give customers the flexibility to store and secure data in three possible locations: Toronto, Calgary, and the customer’s local SIRIS device. The Calgary location also enables partners to expand into larger markets and scale for growth to meet the growing needs of mid-market and enterprise customers.

Canada continues to be a growing market for Datto, with a four-fold increase in Canadian partners since 2014. The addition of the Calgary data center will enable Datto to expand its footprint and reach into Canada, with continued investment in people, infrastructure and facilities.
