As per 1st June 2010 the VTL solution from Storagedata, a division of Duplidata B.V., headquartered in Almere, the Netherlands, will be available.
Although SMB and SMB+ don’t have the same complex infrastructure as enterprise companies, all companies have the same problems when it concerns securing its data. Traditional tape backup is still an efficient way for long term backup, but disk based backup is a much more accepted and used technology nowadays.
The Storagedata VTL offers the advantages of a storage solution, like performance, reliability, availability and scalability, while existing backup software and procedures remain unchanged. The Storagedata VTL is an affordable hard disk based backup solution with all features, functionality and connectivity of a enterprise solution. Storagedata VTL disk supports LUN and file sharing and offers advanced features like Encryption, De-duplication, CloneToTape and Replication.
