Crossroads ReadVerify and TapeSentry Approved by HP

To verify and encrypt data on tape

Crossroads Systems, Inc. announced that Crossroads ReadVerify and TapeSentry appliances have been qualified through rigorous testing as part of the HP Tape Automation Compatibility (TAC) partner program. The program provides customers with assurance that Crossroads’ data protection solutions integrate seamlessly within their preferred environment. Crossroads ReadVerify Appliance (RVA) passed thorough compatibility tests on HP tape libraries and is now published on HP StorageWorks Enterprise Backup Solution (EBS) Compatibility Matrix.

In order to bring the most reliable data resiliency and encryption solutions to the widest possible market, Crossroads is dedicated to meticulous testing of our products to ensure compatibility with the industry’s leading storage solution,” said Brian Bianchi, Chief Operating Officer at Crossroads Systems. “We are pleased that the ReadVerify and TapeSentry Appliances continue to earn the trust of leading partners such as HP.”

Crossroads ReadVerify Appliance Verifies Integrity of Tape Media
Crossroads ReadVerify Appliance is a powerful, flexible and highly-secure solution that helps backup managers and storage administrators meet business, regulatory and compliance data recovery requirements over time. Crossroads ReadVerify Appliance is a simple plug-and-play appliance that monitors and reports on the performance, utilization and health of tape libraries, drives and media. Crossroads RVA proactively alerts and provides detailed information on potential backup failure conditions, such as tape media error ratios or poorly performing tape drives. Gaining visibility to this information allows organizations to take preventive measures to avoid storing data on defective media and improve the performance of backup environments, resulting in substantial IT savings and proven ROI.

Crossroads TapeSentry Secures Data Stored On Tape
Crossroads TapeSentry appliance delivers maximum security to data stored on tape media. As a high-performance, enterprise-class appliance, TapeSentry provides front-side compression and robust encryption at wire-level speed. Additionally, TapeSentry has zero impact on an organization's network, server or existing backup infrastructure. TapeSentry provides industry-standard encryption algorithms and robust key management to satisfy regulatory requirements and protect stored data from unauthorized access or theft.

Crossroads TapeSentry Offers Wire-Speed Encryption to HP Customers
TapeSentry’s compatibility qualification provides HP customers the assurance that Crossroads’ tape encryption solution integrates seamlessly with HP tape libraries and tape drives — including both legacy and LTO-4 media. Crossroads TapeSentry secures business-sensitive information with 256-bit AES encryption and compression, ensuring low-latency, high-performance and cost reduction.
