Specifically designed by Cache-A Corporation to meet the archiving needs of small post houses and small-scale field production, Cache-A’s Prime-Cache is a network-attached archive appliance available today. Prime-Cache enables creative professionals to create source masters in acquisition workflows when using the new memory card or disk-based cameras, and it also provides long-term archival storage with easy access at every stage of production.
Cache-A archive appliances are a cost-effective way to manage Terabytes of archived data in professional media environments. Cache-A’s Prime-Cache solution writes data on low-cost, secure, portable, interchangeable and industry-standard LTO-4 tape cartridges using the standard TAR format, and the archive life is 30 years.
Operating system-independent, Prime-Cache can be deployed into Windows, MacOS and Unix environments to provide direct access to archived data from any platform with simultaneous multi-user access and volume sharing. It plugs into a standard Ethernet network and just works, providing high capacity (800GB/LTO-4 cartridge) and high speed (greater than 50MB/s) archiving.
