Winchester Systems FlashDisk RAIDs Achieve VMware Ready Status

Now listed on Hardware Compatibility List of the virtualization company
Winchester Systems, Inc. announced that a complete line of FlashDisk RAID disk arrays, including Fibre Channel, SAS and SATA models, have achieved VMware Ready status. This designation indicates that these FlashDisk storage products have passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and are now listed on the VMware Hardware Compatibility List.
Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that these FlashDisk products make best use of VMware technology and are ready for deployment in customer environments.
The FlashDisk RAID disk arrays that are now VMware Ready include these model numbers: FC3494R, FC3494S, FC3414R, FC3412S, SX3418R, SX3414S, SX3488R, SX3484S, SX3498R, SX3494S, SX2318R, SX2314S, SX2388R, SX2382S, SX1392S, SX1394R, SA3498R, SA4598R and SA4594S.
"We are pleased that these FlashDisk RAID disk arrays qualify for the VMware Ready logo, signifying to customers that they have passed specific VMware testing and interoperability criteria and are ready to run in production environments," said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware.
"By using FlashDisk with VMware ESX, enterprises can deploy high speed, high capacity, highly reliable data storage with RAID 6 dual-parity data protection," stated Mr. Jerry Namery, the company's chief technology officer.
The VMware Ready program is a VMware co-branding program for qualified partner products and is a benefit of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. With more than 1,300 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.
