Sans Digital Rolls Out Dual Core SAS/SATA RAID Processor PCIe 2.0 8X HBA Rackmount Solutions

Ranging from 2U to 4U
Sans Digital, is announcing a line of performance dual core SAS/SATA RAID processor PCIE 2.0 8X HBA rackmount bundled solution.
Ranging from 2U to 4U (AccuSTOR AS212X6HP, AS316X6HP, EliteSTOR ES208X6+BHP, ES224X6+BHP, ES316X6+BHP, ES424X6+BHP), utilizing new dual-core RAID processor, performance excess of 1,700MB/s of R/W transfer speed can be achieved using RAID 6/60.
Compared with the previous generation single core 6Gbp SAS/SATA RAID controller HBA, the bundled dual core SAS/SATA RAID HBA provides a 15-20% overall performance increase. The dual-core RAID SAS/SATA controller bundles are suitable for IO intensive computing applications such as high-definition video editing that requires high data transfer rates or database applications that perform concentrated IO calculations.
Using either enterprise SAS, SATA or SSD HDDs, up to a total of 120 HDDs (360TB or 720TB - The use of SATA HDD drive with dual-controller storage model requires Qmux board for each HDD used.) can be daisy-chained from each external Mini-SAS expansion port with the bundled 6Gbps Dual-Core SAS/SATA RAID HBA. The RAID Web GUI configuration also provides enterprise features such as real-time RAID health, system event logs and SMTP Email for critical event notifications. Optional battery backup modules are available for mission critical applications.
Supporting Windows, Linux and MAC OS as well as virtualization platform such as VMware, Citrix and Hyper-V, these new SAS/SATA rackmount bundles are designed to fulfill demanding IT tasks. Various form factor rackmount bundles are also offered to suit your specific data capacity requirement including the EliteSTOR ES208X6+BHP (2U-8 bay rackmount), ES316X6+BHP (3U-16 bay rackmount) and ES424X6+BHP (4U-24 bay rackmount) plus AccuSTOR AS212X6HP (2U-12 bay rackmount) and AS316X6HP (3U-16 bay rackmount for cable-less operation and dual controller support. For 2.5" hard drives support, the ES224X6+BHP is a 2U-24 bay storage solution that support 2.5" form factor SAS/SATA/SSD HDDs natively. All models utilized the 6Gbps SAS expander technology supporting daisy-chained data storage expansion from the built-in SFF-8088 external SAS interface port.
