The current generation of desktop and server motherboards have multiple PCI-Express slots for peripheral devices to meet the high throughput demands of data intensive applications that process digital images, video, and CAD/CAM applications. HighPoint’s comprehensive PCI-Express series of RAID controllers support every PCI-Express bus type that is available in this generation of desktop and server motherboards with PCI-Express (x1, x4 and x8). The comprehensive series of RAID controller’s support (SAS and SATA) hard drive interfaces including the highest performing SAS 15K RPM drives and large capacity 7200 RPM 1TB (Terabyte) SATA hard drives. Multiple ports from 2 to 16 in PCI-Express RAID series give customers the flexibility to add more storage as their demand grows. The port design in the PCI-Express series includes (External, Internal and Hybrid) connections to storage with industry standard connectivity with robust functionality connecting to external storage, internal storage or mixing and matching between internal and external storage with (hybrid controllers).
The HighPoint comprehensive PCI-Express series of RAID controller support RAID (0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD) for data protection and include HighPoint Terabyte technologies for data reliability.
