This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Tue, September 20th, 2011
1.8PB in single rack, 15GB/s read-write speed, for blocks and files
DataDirect Networks, Inc. (DDN) unveiled the Storage Fusion Architecture (SFA) 10K-X, an integrated storage appliance that maximizes application performance while minimizing total cost of ownership for Big Data, cloud, and content-intensive environments.
"The DDN SFA10K-X is a high-performance, scalable solution that will meet the needs of today's and tomorrow's data-intensive organizations," said Alex Bouzari, CEO and cofounder, DataDirect Networks. "Our relentless focus on solving the challenges of the Big Data era has made DDN the top choice for organizations that require state-of-the-art data infrastructure with cost and investment protection in mind."
Building on DDN's Storage Fusion Architecture, the new SFA10K-X is a storage foundation for data-intensive SAN, NAS and parallel file system applications, while also providing amplified performance for DDN's NAS Scaler, ExaScaler and GridScaler file storage solutions.
The SFA10K-X features performance efficiency while also flexibly supporting a variety of SSD, SATA and SAS media from a single, scalable system.
SFA10K-X highlights include:
The SFA10K-X is also forward-compatible with future DDN SFA platforms, delivering investment protection and enabling customers to scale for evolving big data demands while leveraging tomorrow's technology. Additionally, all software enhancements (VMWare certification, large capacity support, performance improvements) available in the SFA10K-X are being made available to existing SFA customers at no additional charge.
The SFA10K-X is shipping and available for purchase from DataDirect Networks.
