Strategic Advisory Services International searching acquirer

Tilana Systems Corporation, developer of cloud based, thin provisioned, inline deduplicated synchronization, backup, file-sharing and storage solutions, has retained Strategic Advisory Services International, LLC (SASI) to explore the sale of the company.

The company realizes that being part of a larger entity with an established brand, channels and customers is the most logical and efficient path to scaling the Tilana platform. In addition, time to market is critical and the market is now primed for the Tilana file-sharing, synchronization and storage solution set. Accordingly, the company has engaged SASI to advise them in discussions with strategic acquirers. The company intends to conduct discussions with interested parties who can effectively leverage the company's products, technology and management team.

Tilana was founded in 2005. Its cloud-based, thin provisioned, inline deduplicated platform was launched in 2006 and was initially deployed as a SaaS offering through Tilana and also as a branded host service through www.gate.com. There have also been selected deployments with small and large enterprises. A number of these deployments have been running since 2006 without data loss or unplanned downtime. The company has raised over $3M.
