This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Fri, September 14th, 2012
Adding analytics platform software
With Vertica 6, HP has expanded its Vertica FlexStore
architecture to allow access to any data, including structured, semi-structured
or unstructured data, stored in any location. This enables organizations of all
sizes and across all industries to connect, access, analyze and manage their big
data from anywhere, to monetize big data at the speed
and scale it requires.
"IT organizations are
under pressure to rapidly address the growing variety of disparate data sources
and the complex analytics needed to maximize the value of information derived
from their Big Data," said Mitch Seigle, VP, marketing and product management,
Syncsort. "Working with partners
like HP Vertica, we're building powerful solutions to integrate, store and
analyze big data that enable customers to quickly, more cost effectively
overcome their Big Data integration challenges and benefit sooner from the
insights gained."
"Together with partners like Syncsort, we are creating solutions that help clients gain valuable insight into their businesses and monetize their data," said Chris Selland, VP, marketing, HP Vertica. "Syncsort's certification of DMExpress for high-performance loading of HP Vertica 6 will make it significantly easier for our mutual customers to harness the power of big data to drive growth and competitive advantage."
DMExpress solutions are used by organizations to help tame their big data integration challenges, accelerating time-to-insight and reducing the TCO of big data warehousing and analytics environments.
The software delivers extensive connectivity to extract and transform data from nearly any source, and load it into the scalable Vertica Analytics Platform without the need for manual tuning or custom coding.
