Adexis Solution for Veritas NetBackup
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Fri, June 13th, 2008
Reduces support resolution time for NetBackup by up to 75%
Through VENS Today, a recently developed Adexis program, NetBackup users eager to utilize VENS no longer have to wait until their support contracts expire. With VENS, companies obtain rapid technical diagnosis and correction capabilities and can leverage a history of system documentation to be able to work more strategically. VENS is a value added service for all Versitec customers.
"We developed VENS Today in response to market demand," said Adexis Vice President Mike Trautman. "So many NetBackup users we talk with want to enhance their support today by utilizing VENS through Versitec, but are delayed because of their current support contract cycle."
For companies who want VENS Today, Versitec will begin supporting current Veritas NetBackup contracts that are up to six months away from expiration and install VENS for a minimal monthly fee to bring immediate enhancements. At support contract expiration, Versitec will support the companies using Veritas NetBackup with no lapse in service, and VENS will become an automatic value add of the Versitec NetBackup support model.
Benefits of VENS include exceptionally secure support communication, a comparative database for problem solving, proactive and consolidated failed job reports, disaster recovery insurance and easy-to-obtain client files with a single command. VENS was developed in conjunction with ISOdx technology, a division of Cranel Inc.
Adexis, a Symantec Platinum Partner, and Versitec, a member of Symantec's invitation only Technical Support Partner Program (TSPP), are divisions of Cranel Inc. - a company that offers products and services that empower partners to align IT investments with business objectives. The TSPP provides qualified partners with the ability to utilize their existing support infrastructure and in-depth knowledge of their customers' environments to deliver frontline technical support on authorized Symantec products.
