Acronis True Image Available With Intel Desktop Boards
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Mon, June 30th, 2008
Currently with DG45ID, DG45FC and DP45SG motherboards
The Acronis True Image software is shipping with Intel Desktop Board DG45ID and DG45FC (Media Series models); Intel Desktop Board DP45SG (Extreme Series model); and is expected to ship with Intel Desktop Board DQ45EK and DQ45CB (Executive Series models) in the second half of 2008.
These Intel Desktop Boards are available through Intel's distribution channel for value-added resellers, systems builders and retail consumers.
Acronis True Image allows users to create an exact disk image for complete system backup and disk cloning providing comprehensive data protection. The disk backup file contains the exact copy of a hard disk, including all the computer data, operating system, and programs. After a system crash, the user can restore the entire system or simply replace lost files and folders from the disk backup.
"Acronis is proud to partner with industry cornerstones such as Intel," said Walter Scott, CEO of Acronis. "Intel built its reputation on providing world-class technology and expects nothing less from its partners. Likewise, Acronis recognizes that its users require extremely reliable and dependable hardware and software solutions, and joining with Intel underscores our commitment to customer service, system reliability and data integrity."
"The value of data, whether it is photos, music or movies on consumer PCs or important documents on business PCs, continues to rise," said Clem Russo, Intel's Vice President and General Manager of Channel Desktop Platforms Group. "Consequently the capability to backup data and restore it during disasters such as hard-drive failures and virus attacks has become even more important. We are pleased to provide that capability to our customers through Acronis True Image Home software bundled with our new Media, Executive and Extreme series desktop boards."
Terms of the agreement were not released.
