Xerox Company Mr. Copy Launches Scan-as-a-Service

A digital archival solution
Mr. Copy Inc., a Xerox company serving California, launched Scan as a Service to help customers transform their paper-based processes to more a manageable digital archival solution.
Compared to traditional paper-based approaches, this service promotes cost savings of up to 40 percent and productivity savings of up to 50 percent by converting hard-copy records into fully searchable digital formats. A copy of the document is saved in a secure long-term digital storage repository. This reduces security breaches and enhances loss-prevention activities.
"Companies using our Scan as a Service solution understand the importance of business modernization and green technology initiatives," said Bob Leone, president, Mr. Copy. "The value of this solution has been emphasized as we continue to work closely with many of our customers to solve their cost-containment concerns and implement sustainability initiatives. In addition, we ensure document integrity and follow rigorous security standards, including SAS 70, Red Flag and HIPAA certifications."
The Scan as a Service solution allows documents to be retrieved easily as images on the desktop and provides a lower cost alternative to traditional off-site records management providers. The service includes document collection, destruction, conversion services and secure storage. Electronic delivery options include a subscription-based document management solution and DocuShare On Demand.
