Ken Hoppe VP of Channels, Violin

Formerly at Fusion-io and EMC

Violin Memory, Inc. announced Ken Hoppe has joined the company's executive team as Vice President of Channels. Hoppe will grow Violin Memory's robust network of partnerships with leading VARs and systems integrators.

"Violin Memory is expanding our global partner network as part of our overall growth strategy and Ken will serve as our central driving force in this area," said Dixon Doll, COO, Violin Memory. "He brings valuable experience from his leadership roles at EMC, Oracle and Fusion-io."

"Both Oracle Exadata and EMC have validated NAND Flash in the enterprise data center and this is a very exciting time to lead the datacenter transformation away from spindles - with their inherent performance, footprint and power problems," Hoppe said. "Our Flash Memory Arrays already accelerate millions of transactions for some of the largest enterprise companies in the world. I’m excited for the opportunity to identify and grow new partnership opportunities, drive record growth, and expand our international footprint."

Before joining Violin Memory, Hoppe developed a formal partner program for Fusion-io, which introduced a PCIe form factor SSD. Prior to Fusion-io, Hoppe spent nine years at EMC in several leadership roles. He was responsible for helping develop the CLARiiON Reseller Channel after EMC acquired Data General and was instrumental in the EMC launch of its Service Provider Division that ultimately evolved into the TME Organization.

Hoppe began his career in IT at Oracle Corporation where he directed Oracle's Authorized Reseller Program through its inception and growth.
