This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Thu, July 3rd, 2008
He was most recently strategic alliance manager for EMEA at Dot Hil.
With the addition of Williams to its team, Tarmin will continue to grow its European sales channel. “Adrian’s extremely successful track record demonstrates his essential role in creating strong relationships with European resellers, VARs, and systems integrators,” said Karl Edwards, vice president of business development for Tarmin. “His extensive experience with the different local channel models and broad knowledge of the storage solutions market will be pivotal as Tarmin delivers its NOADS™ (Networked Object Aware Data Storage) platform through our channel partners.”
“I am very excited about Tarmin’s capability to solve a number of critical issues facing storage and IT administrators,” said Adrian Williams, European director of channel sales and alliances for Tarmin. “Tarmin’s unique, intelligent, active archiving architecture offers channel partners significant sales opportunities for professional services, server and storage hardware, and solutions consulting. With NOADS our channel partners will provide their end customers with a comprehensive solution that incorporates the essential elements of an exceptionally robust, intelligent, active archival solution – data retention, policy driven archival management, data migration, heterogeneous storage and server infrastructures, data deduplication, data security, encryption, and intelligent search and retrieval – with innovative storage technologies – clustered distributed file systems, file area networking, storage virtualization, and object-based storage.”
Williams was most recently Strategic Alliance Manager for EMEA at Dot Hill Systems, a leading OEM provider of disk-based storage subsystems. Here, Williams was responsible for the development of OEM relationships for the company’s R/Evolution storage platform. Prior to Dot Hill, Williams spent five years at SUN Microsystems where he was involved in numerous partnership and channel management roles. As Alliance Manager for UK and EMEA at Dot Hill, Williams managed the Sun OEM relationship and partner programs for the SUN SE3000 storage array and oversaw annual revenues in excess of $40 million.
