Phil Evans EMEA VP of Sales, Datacastle

Previously at EVault, i365, Redstor and Legato

Datacastle has named Phil Evans vice president of sales and business development, EMEA with responsibility for driving the expansion of Datacastle RED sales and partnerships in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa markets.

"With the growing number of data privacy and data breach notification regulations in EMEA market countries, organizations across this region are seeking a comprehensive laptop backup and data protection solution like Datacastle RED," said Ron Faith, CEO of Datacastle. "Phil’s extensive experience in building direct and indirect sales distribution channels in the EMEA storage and security market will be instrumental to our success."

phil_evans_datacastle Mr. Evans comes to Datacastle with 20 years of sales and business development experience in Europe and North America. He established the EMEA sales operations for EVault prior to Seagate’s acquisition and the creation of i365, and held numerous positions at i365 including director of business development for EMEA and vice president of sales for Northern Europe. Mr. Evans also served as a director at Redstor, a UK storage management company, and established the European operations of Professional Services in EMEA for Legato Systems.

He holds a first class honours degree in Business Information Technology from University of Central Lancashire.

"The combination of more laptops, more comprehensive data breach regulations and stiffer penalties for non-compliance means that more and more EMEA organizations will be looking for a comprehensive solution that is easy to implement and manage," said Mr. Evans. "Datacastle RED delivers the features organizations are looking for-data backup, at rest encryption and remote data deletion-in a single agent, policy-driven product that is friction free for both end users and IT."
