Joe Julian at Permabit Board
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Mon, June 30th, 2008

Most recently senior VP of Americas sales and global accounts for Veritas
A prominent industry veteran, Julian is currently on the Executive Advisory Board of Virtual Iron Corporation and held a board position with Avamar Technologies, now part of EMC. Julian most recently served as senior vice president of Americas sales and global accounts for VERITAS Software, a leading provider of storage and infrastructure software products. VERITAS was acquired by Symantec in July 2005.
"Joe is an outstanding addition to our team. He is uniquely qualified to assist us in optimizing our sales organization to capture new business wins in the largest enterprise accounts, which is our target market and one of the most challenging to penetrate," said Tom Cook, CEO of Permabit. "With his impressive track record and sales experience coupled with Permabit's industry-leading archiving solution, we're confident we have a winning combination."
"Companies are faced with increasing costs for people, power, and storage resources while their IT budgets are shrinking," said Julian. "Permabit's 21st century technology solves a 20 year old IT problem of how to cost effectively manage static data through archiving. The choices for hardware and software are often limited and usually expensive. The economics that Permabit provides with its technological solution make it truly a smart money purchase for IT buyers today."
Julian joins Permabit's existing board of directors, which consists of Tom Cook, Permabit CEO and president; Clint McVey, Permabit senior vice president of development; and Bill Reeves, co-founder of Blue Crest Capital Management Limited (acquired by UK-based Man Group).
