He is the CFO of one of company's customers, Seagate.
E2open, Inc., provider of strategic, cloud-based solutions for global trading networks, announced Pat O'Malley, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Seagate Technology, has joined the company's board of directors.
"O'Malley's extensive experience in finance and risk management has given him insight into how to successfully navigate complex business issues," said Mark Woodward, president and CEO at E2open. "His experience setting, measuring, and attaining agreed-upon business metrics will be very valuable as we look to expand our market presence."
O'Malley joined Seagate Technology in 1988 and assumed the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2008. Immediately preceding his role of CFO, O'Malley served as the company's Treasurer and Principle Accounting Officer and was responsible for the company's internal and external reporting requirements, treasury functions, control and compliance and policy-making activities for the accounting functions.
Prior to joining Seagate Technology, he worked in the audit function at Arthur Young LLP for approximately 3 years.
O'Malley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with an Accounting major from the University of Notre Dame.
E2open customers include Celestica, Cisco, Dell, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, IBM, LSI Corporation, Motorola, Panasonic, Research In Motion, Seagate Technology, and Vodafone. E2open is headquartered in Foster City, CA with operations worldwide.
