He served as VP and GM of Symantec/Veritas Enterprise Vault (formerly KVS).
“Given his wealth of experience, we are thrilled to have Nick join the executive team and are confident that he will play a pivotal role in LiveOffice’s expansion into new markets,” said Rusich. “Nick’s extraordinary energy, keen understanding of the messaging industry and commitment to continuing the company’s strong operating performance are all highly critical to our long-term success.”
For the better part of the last decade Mehta built his reputation in the email and messaging space, holding senior operating roles for public and private companies in the enterprise and consumer technology markets. He spent more than five years at Symantec Corporation and Veritas Software Corporation (acquired by Symantec in 2005), where he served as vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Vault (formerly KVS) information archiving and discovery software business from its acquisition in 2004 until 2007. During this time, the business grew from $23 million in annual sales to over $200 million and received recognition from ESG, Gartner, Forrester, IDC and Radicati as being the leading product in the 'on-premise' email archiving market.
Prior to his role as general manager of Symantec’s Enterprise Vault, Mehta held other positions leading product management for all email-related businesses at Symantec and previously for CommandCentral, a suite of storage management solutions. Prior to Veritas, he ran product management at XDegrees, a venture-funded storage software startup that was acquired by Microsoft. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Sciences and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
