Rob Merklinger VP Sales, Intronis

He spent more than six years at Oracle.
Intronis announced that Rob Merklinger will take over as vice president of sales. Merklinger, an experienced software sales leader, will continue to grow the sales organization by focusing on channel partnerships.
Merklinger joins Intronis from Gomez, Inc., a web optimization platform provider for SMBs, where he was the director of sales. While at Gomez, Merklinger doubled the company’s annual revenue and managed a team of 40 representatives. He also pioneered the SaaS (software as a service) sales process at Gomez and developed a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.
Before Gomez, Merklinger spent more than six years at Oracle. He was progressively promoted and by 2006, Merklinger was managing sales for the entire Florida region. In his roles at Oracle, Merklinger concentrated on SMB market penetration.
“Rob has an impressive track record of driving success and developing sales talent,” Intronis President and CEO Sam Gutmann said. “His experience and leadership will ensure that Intronis will continue our pattern of rapid growth and record numbers of new partners.”
“Intronis has a solid management team, a strong, evolving product, and a marketplace focus that has tremendous opportunity,” Merklinger said. “I’ll be concentrating on developing our sales team and ensuring that we inspire a consistent flow of resellers to partner with Intronis.”
Merklinger graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2000 with a B.A. in Business Administration.
