Intransa, Inc. has named David Nelson-Gal vice-president of Engineering.
Nelson-Gal is responsible for ongoing product development efforts, including the design, quality assurance and delivery of Intransa's installer-ready server, storage and appliance infrastructure platforms that are purpose-built for the demands of open video surveillance and physical security.
"David brings a wealth of engineering leadership, spanning vertically-integrated global manufacturers of hardware and software, combined with outstanding experience in software-as-a-service and cloud technologies," said Bud Broomhead, CEO at Intransa. "We are delighted that he has joined us to lead our continued investment in the delivery of world-class physical security infrastructure platforms."
Nelson-Gal has more than 20 years of engineering experience leading enterprise software companies. Thirteen years in varied executive engineering assignments at Sun Microsystems included vice president of Software Engineering where he led the company's next generation data center roducts and directed its appliance strategy. More recently he was senior vice president of Engineering at Interwoven, Inc. and joins Intransa from his role of Chief Product Officer at Syncapse Corporation.
He began his career with both a Bachelors and Masters of Science from the University of Michigan.
