Dave Ferretti VP of WW Sales, Zetta
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Thu, July 8th, 2010
He joins from StoredIQ and Evault.
Ferretti joins Zetta from StoredIQ, where, as vice president of sales, he signed up the company’s foundation enterprise customers for eDiscovery and Governance Risk Compliance. Previously, he was vice president of channel sales for Evault, one of the first SaaS backup/recovery solution providers - acquired by Seagate Technology - where he developed more than 50 revenue-producing channel partners.Earlier in his career, Ferretti also ran worldwide sales for Xerox Corporation’s enterprise software division, delivering the first web-based content management system, where he grew revenues on average 36 percent annually while increasing the customer base to more than 6,000 mid-market and enterprise accounts. Ferretti has also held senior sales positions with Netegrity, and Array Technology.
Dave holds a BS Business & Computer Information Systems degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder – Leeds School of Business.
“Zetta continues to see very strong demand for enterprise-class, on-demand storage solutions,” said Jeff Treuhaft, CEO of Zetta. “Dave has a proven track record of building and operating scalable sales organizations that aggressively develop customer traction. His experience with archive, data backup, compliance, and disaster recovery services is a great foundation for building out the Zetta sales team to rapidly scale out valuable customer relationships.”
“The time is right for enterprise customers to capitalize on the benefits of Storage-as-a-Service,” commented Dave Ferretti. “Along with growing costs and complexity, corporations are facing increasing disaster recovery, compliance and eDiscovery challenges in managing and protecting their growing unstructured data, and Zetta uniquely addresses these challenges with a cost-effective, on-demand service model, with the same features as on-premise, enterprise-class NAS.”
