ROOT6 to Incorporate Rimage Disc Printing and Duplication
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on Fri, April 4th, 2008
In DVD authoring workflows
"ContentAgent is simplifying and streamlining workflow for post-production facilities across the globe," said Hamish Macmillan, director of business development for Rimage. "With the Rimage integration, even inexperienced producers can design, burn and output ContentAgent-generated DVDs with professional quality direct-to-disk printing. The end result is an all-encompassing DVD production system that is easy to use, even by non-technical operators."
Rimage digital publishing systems provide automated DVD production for any pre-released content: test discs, dailies, review discs and pre-screeners, as well as final versions for advertising, promos and full release. Through its integration with ContentAgent, Rimage will extend its market reach by including the disc publishing function within an end-to-end automated transcoding workflow.
ContentAgent is the ultimate high-performance scalable platform for capturing, encoding, managing and distributing multi-format, multi-resolution digital media. ContentAgent can encode or transcode from a wide range of sources including uncompressed HD and 2K/4K digital film files. In addition to delivery via FTP, e-mail or RSS, ContentAgent users can take advantage of the system's integrated DVD production capabilities, now further enhanced by the design, printing and duplication features of the Rimage system.
"We are delighted to partner with Rimage and help post-production
professionals manage content more efficiently," said Marcus
Hume-Humphreys, MD of ROOT6 Technology. "As a natural hub for creating
multi-format content for distribution, ContentAgent will benefit
greatly from the integration of Rimage output capabilities."
